Essential Rehab maintains professional associations with Specialists, Surgeons, Medical Practitioners, and other Allied Health Professionals including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Exercise Physiologists, Podiatrists, Vocational Counsellors, along with Career Advisers and Job Seeking Advocates to assist our clients and their specific needs.

Peta Rankine

Occupational Therapist  / Occupational Injury Consultant / Senior Therapist / Director
B.App.Sc. (HMS), M Occ Ther, Cert IV (Training)

Peta has a wealth of expereinces in the area of Occupational/Vocational Rehabilitation, Soft Tissue Management and Treatment, Injury Prevention, Intervention/Management, Clinical Case Management, and Workplace Training.  

Peta is a registered Occupational Therapist with AHPRA and a member of Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (ASLM). As a member of the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists, she is active in the Soft Tissue Treatment and Workplace/Vocational Rehabilitation special interest groups. Peta has experience, also, as a teacher and has been previously involved with school-based health and fitness across South-East Queensland.

Peta completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movement Education and a Masters of Occupational Therapy Studies, both awarded by the University of Queensland. Peta has completed soft tissue post graduate studies at James Cook University. Peta also holds a Constrction White Card and has completed a Certificate IV in Training.

Maree Bennett

Office Coordinator

Maree has many years of experience working in the Workers Compensation and Return to Work Sectors and is a valuable member of the Essential Rehab team.  Maree is available to assist with any queries for services available.

Alison Wheeler

Alison has a wealth of experiences in the area of Occupational/Vocational Rehabilitation, Soft Tissue Management and Treatment, Injury Prevention, Intervention/Management, Clinical Case Management, and Workplace Training. , Coaching and Leadership.

Alison is a registered Occupational Therapist with AHPRA. As a member of the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists, she is active in the Soft Tissue Treatment and Workplace Rehabilitation special interest groups. Alison has experience, also, as a life coach and has been previously involved with leadership and wellness programs worldwide. 

Alison completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Therapy) in New Zealand. Has completed soft tissue post graduate studies at James Cook University. Is an NLP certified coach and practitioner.
